Sculptor

Christian Eriksson is one Sweden’s most famous sculptors, recognized for Bågspännaren in Kornhamns Torg and St. Göran och draken decorating Stockholm City Hall.

He was born in Arvika but went to Stockholm, Hamburg and Paris for training to become an ornamental sculptor. Studio and residential building Oppstuhage, Christian’s own National Romantic design, is preserved and today part of Rackstadmuseet in Taserud.
